LOCATION

Half Moon Festival Takes place twice a month and it is located on a beautiful Tropical Island called “PHANGAN” Ban Tai Village, South Thailand. (Surathani Province, Gulf of Thailand).

 

 

WHO ORGANISES THIS EVENT

Half Moon Festival is Presented by “Harmony Team” which provides the latest sound system, highest quality equipment and professional DJs, VJs, live artists and performers (Thai & International). The event has Indoor & Outdoor dancing arenas, as well as three bars and food stalls.

The area is Covered by artist's UV decorations, there are visuals projected on two big screen, there is also a fire show across from the main dance floor.

Half moon is Famous for its good music. It provides an original blend of tribal house and trance beats for an unbeatable party night. All music is mixed live and the party showcases the latest remixes and unreleased tracks from our private studio and worldwide connections.

KOH PHANGAN IS NOT JUST A PARTY ISLAND

Rich in natural beauty, with more than three waterfalls and National parks. After the party you can take original Longtail boat Trips around the island, visiting a few different beaches, usually the one day boat trip starts in the morning and ends at sunset. Snorkelling and Scuba diving is also a big attraction to the island. It is one of the most beautiful locations to start your Open water diving course as well as one for the cheapest in the world. We also recommend Tao Island (only 1 hour by Speed boat) for excellent Scuba Diving.

ACCOMMODATION

There is a wide rage of beach resorts to choose. Cheap bungalows with a fan should cost 150-400 Baht (3-8 Euros) Other Bungalows with Air-Conditioning, Cable TV and Mini bar should cost 500-1,200 Baht (10-24 Euros) per night. Staying close to Ban Tai beach will be the easiest, shortest and cheapest way for your taxi cost, but if you like to visit some other beautiful beach resort, it still not very far to come from any part of the island. The Half Moon night has a 24 hours taxi service that will come from every part of the island.

DJ Tripical or DJ Jao

DJ Tripical or DJ Jao the leader of Harmony Team, DJ since 1998. To describe his Music its mean music with Groovy and warm Basslines with powerfull breaks. Always positive synths, sounds not to deep with Full on rhythms, now he is Resident DJ for the team & working for the famous English label, Alchemy Records, in Thailand.

DJ NoTe

DJ NoTe start Spin as Professional DJ at the age of 19, now he's 21 with full of mixing experiences. In 2006 he explored the dance floor with his own track “100% Note” and Powerfull Live Acts with his Friends who's working as Sound engineer from DJ Center in Bangkok . Keep your power and wait for his set before sunrise in Half moon Festival Main floor….and fasten your seatbelt at the end of his set !!!

DJ Patt

DJ Patt Resident DJ at Full Moon Party. Patt's Music always keeps Dance floors in higher dimension, August 2006 he spent two months on a world tour in Europe; Voov Ex-in Germany, France, Switzerland and Greece. Now he is resident DJ for Half Moon and Full Moon at Tommy Bar , Rin Nok Beach , Thailand.

DJ Leung (Magic Phangan)

DJ Leung he is well known for his wicked! mixing skill. He invented the DJ scene For Our Island and world tour in Europe; at Voov Ex-Germany and Antaris & Zoom in Switzerland . Now he is resident DJ for Black Moon Culture and developed his New Project 2006 “Ban Sabaii Day party” in Ban Thai Village.

DJ Psy Frog

DJ Psy Frog From Om Trance club in Phuket Island has been searching for the right place for his Groove. Year 2000 he found Phangan Island and start make to make the Dance floor Jumping like his DJ Name! Now on his set in Half Moon, please make sure that your Energy is enough to Jump Hi !!!

DJ Ping Punk

DJ Ping Pung From Harmony Team, Zoom & Full Moon Bar, this Southern boy grew up to close to party village; this Village connecting him with Israeli full on sound. If you love the same don't miss his set in Half Moon Infected Mushroom - Skazi -Astrix with his powerful guitar will make you crazy !!!

ONE NIGH PARTY

Unlike Full Moon Party, Speed Boats to Koh Samui do not run all night. You have to stay on Koh Phangan until the first boat run at 7.00am or find a plac to stay and enjoy the island for couples day.

 

 

SAFETY FIRST

Half Moon Festival offers you SAFETY FIRST Please always keep shoes on in party zone, don't bring any kind of fireworks, weapons or Drugs.

Our advice is don't be tempted by drugs, this island has had a bad reputation for a long time and the open taking of drugs is not tolerated. The police are very hot on stopping the problem. Do not carry any kind of drugs to the party. Motorbike accidents are fairly common; So, always keep left, be careful on sandy corners and never Drink & Drive! Taxis and rental jeeps are cheap especially if you hire one in a group.
